Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Alluvamz (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you use Tracks on the web at https://tracks.alluvamz.tech and in the Tracks Android app. It is written for listeners, artists, and Play Store reviewers.

Who we are

Tracks is a Malawi music streaming and download service operated by Alluvamz. Contact us at tracksmw@gmail.com.

Data we collect

• Account details: name, email, username, gender, and a hashed password when you sign up with email.
• Google sign-in: Google user id, name, email, and avatar when you choose Continue with Google.
• Library activity: likes, follows, plays, downloads, search queries, and queue state.
• Payments: Airtel or TNM numbers you save, and purchase records processed through PayChangu.
• Device data needed to stream, download offline audio, and keep you signed in (API tokens).

How we use data

We use this information to create your account, play and license music, remember your library, process payments, prevent abuse, and send account email such as verification and password resets. We do not sell your personal data.

Sharing

Payment details are sent to PayChangu so mobile money checkout can complete. Google receives a sign-in request only when you tap Continue with Google. Artists and administrators see catalog and payout information needed to run the service, not your password.

Storage on your device

The Android app can store purchased audio, artwork, and lyrics on your phone for offline playback. Clearing downloads in Settings removes those files from the device. It does not delete your account.

Account deletion

You can delete your account in the Tracks Android app under Account → Delete account, or on the web under Account. Deletion removes your login, likes, follows, listens, saved payment numbers, and search history.

We may keep purchase and payout records required for tax, fraud, and payment compliance. Those records are detached from your name and email. Music you published as an artist stays on Tracks so other listeners and existing purchases are not broken; it is disconnected from your login.

After deletion you cannot sign back into the same account. You may create a new one.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. After deletion, personal profile data is erased or anonymized immediately. Payment ledger rows may be kept for as long as finance and legal rules require.

Your choices

• Edit your name and password in Account settings.
• Remove saved payment numbers at any time.
• Sign out to revoke the current app session.
• Delete your account as described above.

Children

Tracks is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Continued use of Tracks after an update means you accept the revised policy.
